Disney Legend Phil Collins will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year as an individual, having previously been inducted as a member of the band Genesis.
Phil Collins Inducted in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

“Obviously I’m pleased and honored to be inducted. It wraps up what has been a wonderful life in music,” Collins said.
Collins wrote and recorded songs for Disney’s Tarzan (1999), alongside Mark Mancina composing the score. The soundtrack included “You’ll Be in My Heart,” which Collins performed at the Oscars and earned the Academy Award for Best Song. In addition to English, Collins recorded the Tarzan soundtrack in German, Italian, French, Latin American Spanish, and Castilian Spanish. “You’ll Be in My Heart” spent 19 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart.
Collins was inducted as a Disney Legend in the category of Music in 2002.
Collins and Mancina teamed up again to create the music for Brother Bear (2003), including “Welcome.” That same year, Collins voiced Lucky in The Jungle Book 2. He was later involved in the adaptation of Tarzan into a Broadway musical in 2006, writing new songs and instrumental pieces.
The 2026 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees also include Billy Idol, who voiced the Punk-Bots in Disney XD’s Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja; Queen Latifah, who played Aunt Em in The Muppets’ Wizard of Oz and “Cha-Cha” the bartender in The Country Bears; and the late Ed Sullivan, host of The Ed Sullivan Show, on which Walt Disney, the Muppets, and other Disney connections appeared over the years.
The 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will air in December on ABC and Disney+.
