Disneyland revealed Princess Leia, who guests will soon be able to meet in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge when the land’s timeline shifts.
Princess Leia Meet and Greet Character
Leia will not appear in her iconic white dress from A New Hope but rather a white jumpsuit and brown vest. Though the outfit is brand-new, it’s akin to her Empire Strikes Back Hoth costume. The changes better fit the humid weather of Batuu. Her hair, meanwhile, is in a braid across the top of her head.
The video shows her meeting up with R2-D2 in front of the Millennium Falcon. Leia, R2, Han Solo, and Chewbacca will all meet near the ship when the timeline of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge shifts, beginning on April 29.
Luke Skywalker will appear near Savi’s Workshop and Darth Vader will replace Kylo Ren roaming with Stormtroopers.
Rey will continue appearing near Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which will still be set during the sequel era.
Read more about the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge timeline shift. It only affects the Disneyland version of the land, not the Disney’s Hollywood Studios version.
