After rebranding the Galaxy’s Edge East docking area to Docking Bay 6 last month, Docking Bay 6 is now flying First Order banners.
Docking Bay 6

As you can see above, the top of the docking bay entryway now has a deep red First Order banner hanging above it. This symbolizes the First Order’s hold on this part of Batuu. Smaller banners can be seen at the First Order Cargo shop next door, to the right.
The space was previously utilized for guests of the Galactic Starcruiser to transit between the park and the hotel. Following the Starcruiser’s closure, the space has flexibly operated for other services, including merchandise distribution on Star Wars day and more commonly as a PhotoPass location. There are also wall cutouts where guests can sit and get out of the sun.

Banners actually flank both sides of this corner of Galaxy’s Edge East. A matching banner has also now been erected across the walkway, to the left of the TIE Exchelon X-Wing, where Stormtroopers and Kylo Ren have been previously staged.
While Disney has not made a formal announcement regarding the Docking Bay 6 area, the changes could suggest future efforts to utilize the space in a more permanent form. Or it could be a way to designate the area on a map as needed for flexible use in the future.
