Every day is the best day ever in Enchanted Summer, the Frozen– and Tangled-themed rotational dining restaurant aboard the Disney Adventure.
Enchanted Summer Restaurant
About the Restaurant
Celebrate the spirit of the season at this whimsical buffet-style restaurant inspired by the Disney films Tangled and Frozen.
Enchanted Summer is one of the rotational dining restaurants on the Disney Adventure. Depending on your dining assignment, you will visit either Enchanted Summer or Pixar Market for dinner on one night of your voyage, so while the restaurant interior is themed to Frozen and Tangled, it shares its dinner menu and buffet offerings with Pixar Market.
Enchanted Summer also has two different themed dining rooms, dubbed Maximus (Tangled) and Olaf (Frozen), for each film’s respective sidekicks.
Maximus Dining Room

The entrance to the Tangled-themed dining room is through this wooden archway that Rapunzel has painted with colorful vines, squirrels, and birds. The sign reads “Maximus” with a horseshoe in place of the U.

A handwashing station is available with four spigots.

The curling black ironwork on either side leading to the seating area features the Corona sun emblem.

The buffet station is located to the left of the entrance, designated by Corona sun tilework on the floor and flanked by more wooden columns that Rapunzel has adorned with her artwork.

This bright pink and blue curio cabinet is topped with a portrait of Maximus, Flynn Rider’s horse (after whom the dining room is named). Inside are a variety of Tangled-themed objects, including a Snuggly Duckling figure, painted unicorn figurines, and cupcakes.

The dining room itself is fully decked out for the Lantern Festival. All the decor is resplendent in shades of purple and yellow, right down to the chairs and Corona sun-patterned carpet.

Shiny purple bunting is strung across the ceiling between light fixtures that resemble floating lanterns in three different styles. The round wooden columns are crowned with floral arrangements and painted with pink and purple floral details (and more horseshoes).

The flower arrangements continue around the edges of the seating area by the entrance, with more of Rapunzel’s colorful artwork on the walls.

The seating area by the window has round Corona sun light fixtures made of stained glass and a ceiling painted with birds, stars, lanterns, and other Tangled motifs. Rapunzel’s handiwork is visible around all the porthole windows inside and out.

The porthole windows are covered with multicolored stained-glass decals, but there are plenty of transparent panels allowing for ocean views.

Here’s another angle of the Maximus dining room showing the mural along the back wall.

The mural over this green booth features moments from Tangled rendered in Rapunzel’s whimsical style: the castle, Flynn and Rapunzel in their Lantern Festival boat, Maximus stealing apples, the tower, and the forest full of woodland critters.

While the cloth napkins do feature an embroidered Corona sun, the rest of the table settings are nondescript, with a brown woven vinyl placemat and stainless steel utensils, including chopsticks. The drinkware is also plain.
Olaf Dining Room

The Olaf dining room is located on the lower level of the restaurant. Blue carpeted stairs with a snowflake pattern lead down to the seating area.

At the bottom, you’re greeted by a Frozen II mural featuring Anna riding her horse Kjekk and Elsa riding the Nokk through the forest as Elsa conjures swirls of magical snow. Olaf and Bruni watch from atop the rocks.

The center of the dining room is made to resemble Elsa’s ice palace, with designs echoing her balcony railings etched onto the glass panels and a geometric snowflake ceiling medallion. Arching accents connect the support columns.

A glittering, angular snowflake chandelier hangs in the middle of the arches.

If you look down from this spot, you get a bird’s-eye view of Tiana’s Bayou Lounge.

A painting of the core Frozen cast (Sven, Olaf, Kristoff, Anna, and Elsa) hangs at the entrance to the inner seating area, which is designated by red-stained wooden trim and green patterned wallpaper.

The dining room comprises both square and circular tables. Chairs alternate with a white and blue upholstery and with or without arms. Layered lighting fixtures carry the whimsical scrollwork seen elsewhere.

Against one wall of the restaurant is an area clearly dedicated to Kristoff and Sven. Their portraits hang on the wall above a side table with trinkets. To the left of the Kristoff portrait are ice block tongs.

Homey decor lines the rest of this dining room, too. From snowshoes and Arendelle pennants to portraits of young Anna and Elsa, Olaf, Sven and Kristoff. It looks very much like a curated home.

On one shelf, we see dolls of both Anna and Elsa, both with their hair in braids.

These trinkets and portraits carry through around the dining room.

Columns in the dining room have been painted with blue and white designs on them. White scrollwork adorns the column cap that leads to the ceiling beams.

The painted, rosemaling designs continue on the ceiling with delicate blue and white painted details.

This dining room also has a large-scale painting: a realistic landscape of Arendelle Bay in springtime. Multiple ships sail into port around the castle.
Menu

The exterior of the menu is half turquoise and half royal blue, framed in white with delicate rosemaling details. In the center is the hybrid snowflake/snowflower symbol of the kingdom of Arendelle. The inside pages are edged with a blue snowflake frame.

Food Photos & Reviews
The Smolder – $12
Borgo Imperiale Prosecco | Peach | Bottega Limoncino | Cotton Candy | Elderflower

We found this to be a very light, balanced drink, with notes from all the ingredients revealing themselves over the course of a sip: sour, bitter, floral, citrus, and sweet. We’re used to the rotational dining drinks being overly sweet, so this was a refreshing change.

Pork and Shrimp Shumai
Tobiko, Black Rice Vinegar, Chili Oil

These aren’t the highest quality shumai we’ve had, but they’re solid. We found the shrimp to be very fishy (but the accompanying sauces helped with that), and the dumpling itself was a little chewy. A perfectly middle-of-the-road appetizer option.

Green Papaya Salad
Long Beans, Chili, Grape Tomatoes, Palm Sugar-Lime Dressing (vegan)

It’s a salad that looks like a pile of slaw and tastes like it, too, albeit with some lime juice and tomatoes. However, it was topped with mint leaves, which added a pleasant dimension. But even with that, it still doesn’t feel like a complete salad, more like an afterthought when told they needed a vegan option.

Baingan Bharta
Tomatoes, Onion, Ginger, Garlic, Cumin, Fresh Cilantro, Chili Pepper, Basmati Rice, Poppadum, Raita (vegetarian)

Despite not being listed as spicy, diner beware: this is a 7 or 8 out of 10 on the spice level! It’s also actually a curried lentil stew accompanied by everything listed in the menu description.

It’s a very flavorful curry with a pleasant heat. The rice was a tad overcooked, but it held together nicely when you went in for a forkful of curry. This was one of the better dishes we’ve had at any rotational dining restaurant.

Chicken Shahi Korma
Fenugreek, Yogurt, Cashew, Jasmine Rice, Raita, Mint Chutney, Naan

Another excellent Indian-style curry that’s slightly lower on the spice level than the baingan bharta, but still packs a good kick. The chicken was very tender, and the sauce was pretty authentic. If you want a curry with protein in it, definitely go for this.

White Chocolate Bread Pudding
Butterscotch Sauce, Almond Florentine, Vanilla Ice Cream

The bread pudding was like buried treasure under a sea of melted vanilla ice cream. That mingled with the rich butterscotch sauce to coat every bite of the dense bread pudding beneath. This was absolutely fantastic.

Buffet

A wide selection of pastries and baked goods is available on the buffet:
- Apricot Danish
- Chocolate Danish
- Chocolate Glazed Doughnut
- Glazed Doughnut
- Raspberry Filled Doughnut
- Chocolate Chip Muffin
- Blueberry Streusel Muffin

Over at the soup station, there was sambar, plain basmati rice, poha, and upma.

Western breakfast items such as scrambled eggs, fried hash browns, bacon, and link sausage were also on the line.

Guests can also enjoy steamed custard buns, steamed chicken buns, and vegetable spring rolls.

Vegetable fried rice, turkey bacon, and mee goreng with shrimp are also available nearby.

Beside that is plain miso soup, moo ping (grilled pork satay), corned beef hash, brown rice congee, fried anchovies, and youtiao (fried dough sticks) and toppings.

The buffet area is separated from the dining area clearly based on the flooring pattern. The dining area has a wood floor aesthetic, while the buffet line aesthetic is stone.

A toasted bread station was also available with whole wheat bread, white bread, English muffins, and bagels. Condiments such as butter, raspberry jam, apricot jam, strawberry jam, and peanut butter were beside the bread selection.

Hollandaise sauce sat beside even more Western breakfast dishes. Two types of eggs Benedict were served alongside it, the Southern Eggs Benedict and Pastrami Eggs Benedict, both of which contain pork. There were also sauteed mushrooms and grilled tomatoes.

Several omelets (plain, cheese, and vegetable) were available along with classic Mickey waffles.

Maple syrup was available in this section of the buffet.

South Asian specialties, including curry chicken, basmati rice, naan, and dal, were served alongside various condiments and toppings:
- Onion and tomato raita
- Kachumber salad
- Lime achar
- Vegetable achar
- Garlic achar
- Toasted cashew
- Mint sauce
- Sambal oelek

Fresh fruits, including pears, oranges, and apples, were on the buffet line as well.

Fresh-cut fruits were available for breakfast as well. These included watermelon, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, pineapple, mango, and more.

Looking to get more protein to start the day? There was a variety of cold cuts and cheeses at the buffet as well. These included:
- Bresaola
- Mortadella
- Ham
- Salami
- Tomatoes
- Cucumbers
- Pepper Jack cheese
- Cheddar cheese
- Smoked salmon
- Gravlax
Diced red onions, lemon wedges, cream cheese, and capers were also available in this section.

Finally, a range of yogurts and other similar items were on the buffet. These included muesli, bananas, flaxseed, and cranberries; berries, yogurt, and granola; and strawberry yogurt with honey, milk, and coconut.
