The roof refurbishment of Wailulu Bar & Grill at the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has begun. The outdoor bar is now closed and seating will be limited during construction work.
Wailulu Bar & Grill Roof Refurbishment

The scaffolding surrounds the round bar part of Wailulu’s outdoor seating. Although there is an opening for entering the bar area, it was not open on the morning of our visit. Crews were actively working on the roof at the time.

The rest of the seating area is not yet surrounded by scaffolding but may be later during the construction project. The roof refurbishment is scheduled to continue through late June.

A group of rolling planters was ready for blocking off construction areas.
During this time, walk-up service with no seating is available for breakfast and lunch until 5 p.m. Seating is open for dinner after 5 p.m.
Construction activity will be noticeable during daytime hours but efforts will be made to minimize disruptions.
Wailulu Bar & Grill opened as part of the new DVC tower in 2024. It began taking reservations late last year. Read our Wailulu Bar & Grill review.
