The Soarin’ Around the World queue at EPCOT has new carpeting. It’s being installed in stages overnight before the ride becomes Soarin’ Across America next month.

The new carpeting is along the first stretch of the queue. It’s a tan and gray geometric pattern of curved and straight lines.

The old carpeting remains for the rest of the queue. It’s a beige blocky pattern that has faded with wear over the years.

Soarin’ Around the World will be closed beginning on May 14. Soarin’ Across America will open to the public on May 26 after cast member previews.

This new adventure honors America’s 250th birthday, showcasing the natural beauty and iconic cityscapes of the United States with an original score and scents. Disney shared a look at filming in the Grand Canyon.

Soarin’ Across America will open at Disney California Adventure on July 2.
