A brand-new “World of Disney” sign has been installed at the west entrance of the flagship Disney Springs store, marking the completion of a project that began last July.
World of Disney Marquee Completed
The old sign and marquee structure were removed last summer. They were temporarily replaced by banners and decals on the windows. Two of the decals remain but will likely be removed soon.
The marquee framework was completed last month. The sign appears to be the same as the former sign, with “World Of” in colorful block letters and “Disney” in cursive with a yellow-gold finish.
Disney never announced a reason for the construction project, but it’s possible the old sign or marquee was damaged and needed to be replaced. At night, the sign lights up, so the issue could have also been electrical.
