The third installment in James Cameron’s hit sci-fi series is heading to Disney+ in just a few weeks.
‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ Streaming Release

Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third film in James Cameron’s Avatar franchise, will begin streaming on Disney+ on June 24. The film hit theaters around six months prior, on December 19, 2025.
Avatar: Fire and Ash continues the story of Jake Sully and Neytiri, played by Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña, as their family faces new threats on Pandora. The film also brings back Stephen Lang as Colonel Miles Quaritch and introduces Oona Chaplin as Varang, a new Na’vi antagonist tied to the Ash People. David Thewlis also joins the cast as Peylak, leader of the Wind Traders.
The latest Avatar film had already made its way to home audiences prior to today’s Disney+ announcement; the digital home release has been available for purchase since March 31.
The film crossed $1 billion worldwide in early January, making it James Cameron’s fourth movie to reach that milestone after the earlier two Avatar films and Cameron’s landmark Titanic.
At the time, Fire and Ash had reached $1.08 billion globally, including $306 million domestically and $777.1 million internationally. Additionally, it was Disney’s third 2025 theatrical release to hit $1 billion, following the live-action Lilo & Stitch and Zootopia 2.
Visitors to Walt Disney World Resort can find Avatar merchandise throughout the resort, namely at Animal Kingdom’s Pandora – The World of Avatar.
Avatar: Fire and Ash will stream on Disney+ beginning June 24.
