The team behind Bats Day weekend at Disneyland Resort has announced the 2027 date(s) for the goth park takeover.

May brings Bats Day to Disneyland Park. Next year, this Goth-centric event is May 1 and 2, 2027. This event began in 1999 and used to be held in August, but has been held in May since 2009.

Unlike other themed fan events at Disney Parks, like Dapper Day or Adventureland Day, this is not a dress-up day. It is a celebration of the Dark Subculture or Goth community. Participants are often members of the community who dress in that particular fashion all the time.

It began as a collaboration between clubs Absynthe in Hollywood and Release the Bats in Long Beach. It is now a 2-day event with:

• The Bats Day Dark Park Festival including bands and DJs
• The Bats Day Black Market with dozens of vendors
• The Nightmare before Bats Day – Dinner Meet and Greet
• The Bats Day Ghoulish Gala, a formal gala
• Gallery999, a tribute art show to Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion
• The Bats Day Happy Haunts Swing Wake, a costumed gala event
• Bats Day in the Fun Park
