Construction walls have now been installed around the Columbia Sportswear store at Disney Springs as work prepares to begin on the location’s previously announced refurbishment project.
The walls now surround much of the storefront inside Town Center, blocking access to portions of the exterior façade and storefront windows. Pale green construction panels have been installed around the perimeter, along with several large Columbia-branded advertisements featuring outdoor imagery and promotional slogans.
One section of the temporary walls features the message “New Look Is Coming Soon!” alongside Columbia branding, offering guests the first visible confirmation that significant changes are on the way for the store.
The construction walls extend across the majority of the store’s frontage inside the covered Town Center walkway, wrapping around the corner nearest the outdoor pathway. Despite the walls, the Columbia Sportswear Company sign remains visible above the construction area.
Several promotional graphics attached to the walls feature Columbia brand ambassador Robert Irwin navigating rugged outdoor environments. Other signage highlights Columbia products with phrases such as “Seriously Overqualified Shorts” and “Tackle Nature’s Toughest Terrain.”
The installation of construction walls follows a previously filed Notice of Commencement indicating the store will undergo a substantial remodel. According to project documents, the refurbishment is expected to include a new storefront, updated lighting, wall finishes, fixtures, and fresh paint throughout the location.
Earlier this month, permit filings indicated Columbia Sportswear was preparing for a significant overhaul of the Disney Springs location. While Disney and Columbia have not publicly shared additional details regarding the redesign, the arrival of construction walls suggests work is now moving forward.
The Columbia Sportswear store is located in the Town Center section of Disney Springs, between Sugarboo & Co. and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill.
