Johnston participated in this week’s earnings call discussing Disney’s second quarter of 2026, in which he addressed Epic Universe-related headwinds and the slowdown in international travelers to domestic parks, as well as the potential impact of rising gas prices on Disney travel.

Then-Disney Parks Chairman and now-CEO Josh D’Amaro attended the 2025 MoffettNathanson conference and hosted a similar Q&A. Former CEO Bob Iger also conducted one at the 2024 conference, at which he infamously said “almost all” of Disney’s future park investments would use IP.
