A new chapter for Sofia the First is almost here, and Disney Jr. marked the occasion with a meet and greet celebration fit for royalty.
Sofia the First Makes Royal Meet and Greet Appearance Ahead of New Series Premiere
Disney Jr. and Disney+ hosted Sofia’s Enchanted Breakfast in Los Angeles to celebrate the upcoming premiere of Sofia the First: Royal Magic.
The family-focused event featured themed breakfast offerings, interactive activities for kids, appearances by members of the series cast, and, notably, a meet and greet opportunity with Sofia herself.
Guests were invited into a royal-themed setting with activities inspired by the world of Sofia. One of the featured experiences allowed children to decorate crowns, giving young fans a chance to create their own royal accessories during the event.
The celebration also included appearances by Ariel Winter, who returns as the voice of Sofia, along with Kai Harris, Darcy Rose Byrnes, Yonas Kbreab, and others from the new series.
Winter reflected on being part of the Disney princess legacy:
“As a little girl, you look at the Disney Princesses and you go, ‘oh my gosh, that’s something I’m going to remember forever’, they imprint on you. And so to know that I am one of them, that’s crazy! It’s something that you always think about, it weighs on you, and it’s amazing.“
Series creator Craig Gerber was also in attendance and spoke about seeing the world of Sofia come to life for young fans, taking pride in creating a fantasy world where kids want to visit, and the joy in feeling that excitement translate to the real world.
Sofia the First: Royal Magic continues Sofia’s story as she begins attending Charmswell School for Royal Magic. The premiere will also include a familiar Disney Princess, as Rapunzel is set to make a guest appearance in the first episode.
The new series premieres May 25 on Disney Jr. and will stream the next day on Disney+. You can learn more about the new series and the cast in our earlier coverage.
