Grand Villa Layout Options Come to BoardWalk Bookings

Disney Vacation Club has quietly updated the booking options for 3-Bedroom Grand Villas at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, giving members the ability to choose between two different layouts for BoardWalk stays beginning January 5, 2027.

Previously, all Grand Villas at the resort were listed under one general “3 Bedroom Grand Villa” category.

The accommodations are now separated into “One Story 3 Bedroom Grand Villa” and “Two Story 3 Bedroom Grand Villa” categories.

The update is notable because Disney’s BoardWalk Villas has seven Grand Villa floor plans total, five being single-level villas and two structured in a two-story layout.

Until now, members booking the room type could not specifically select which version they wanted, meaning some guests could arrive expecting one floor plan and find themselves assigned to a very different layout.

The point cost is the same for both categories, so the change does not appear to affect how many DVC points are required for a stay. Now, this update for stays in 2027 and beyond gives members more certainty and customization when planning a vacation.

The BoardWalk’s Grand Villas are among the most spacious and sought-after accommodations around the Crescent Lake resorts. Thus, the new opportunity for DVC members to choose a specific layout removes some of the guesswork from the booking process, helping guests to better match the room to the needs of their travel party.

While this is not a major resort overhaul or a flashy new DVC announcement, it is a practical quality-of-life change for members booking one of the resort’s largest villa categories.
