Visitors are still asked to mind the pixie dust in certain areas of the rustic resort, but some spots have been restored to accessible condition for guests.
Construction Continues at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Ongoing construction remains visible around Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, with new photos showing continued refurbishment activity near the Copper Creek Villas & Cabins area of the resort.
The latest views show work still affecting exterior terraces, guest pathways, and portions of the resort’s lakeside-facing buildings.
Disney previously announced that Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge would undergo refurbishment from mid-May through September 2025.
In the core building, Disney has reopened the upper lobby terraces that were previously locked off to guests for refurbishment work.
The lobby-level terrace, however, remained closed during our latest visit, though by the look of things, we suspect it may be guest-ready in the near future.
The exterior of the building appears largely uncovered in several views, though refurbishment impacts are still noticeable along the roofline.
The most notable inaccessible section remains the primary walkway from the resort’s core over to the boat dock. While a branching portion of the walkway has been restored, the longer central path is still missing much of its woodwork.
Lastly, and fortunately for guests who enjoy the resort’s natural views and rockwork just beyond the lobby, refurbishment efforts have now removed themed window decals that once lined the path between the lobby and the Roaring Fork quick service location.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge opened in 1994 and is themed after grand National Park lodges of the American Northwest. Copper Creek Villas & Cabins, a Disney Vacation Club property, opened in 2017 after converting part of the resort’s former hotel inventory into villas and adding waterfront cabins along Bay Lake.
