A new Dooney & Bourke bag has arrived with a tiny all-over Disney Parks print that demands a closer look.
Dooney & Bourke Disney Parks Tote – $308
A new Disney Dooney & Bourke tote bag features a light blue exterior covered in miniature Disney Parks-inspired artwork. The all-over pattern includes a mix of characters, attraction icons, snacks, vehicles, and resort landmarks, all rendered in a cute storybook-like design.
The tote bag features a wide zip-top opening, brown leather handles, matching brown leather trim, and goldtone hardware. A brown leather hangtag is attached to one handle which denotes the artwork was created for Disney by Jerrod Maruyama. As with other bags from the prolific designer, a small Dooney & Bourke logo plate is fixed to the front of the bag.
The colorful print is set against a pale blue background with scattered stars throughout the background along with other small decorative details. The core design includes multiple icons tied to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Parks attractions, and classic Disney animation.
Visible characters and icons in the pattern include: Mickey Mouse balloons, Minnie Ears, Figment, Orange Bird, the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit, it’s a small world dolls and clockface, Cinderella Castle, a teacup from Mad Tea Party, the Jungle Cruise boat, a Haunted Mansion Doom Buggy, a tiki drummer figure, an undead pirate, a red Main Street-style popcorn cart, a monorail, a vintage Autopia car, a Mickey ear hat, a Mickey ice cream bar, a Mickey pretzel, a Dole Whip treat, a Minnie cupcake, a Mickey lollipop, a corn dog, José the tiki bird, Snow White and her wishing well, Donald Duck, the Earrfel Tower, a turkey leg, popcorn, the Matterhorn and Harold the Yeti, Scuttle, churros, a classic Disneyland ticket book, an ice cream sundae, beignets, Spaceship Earth, Space Mountain, a Tower of Terror attendant, and last but certainly not least, Mr. Toad and his wild ride.
As for the inside, the bag has a bright red fabric lining.
The art designer, Jerrod Maruyama, is a freelance illustrator and character designer best known to Disney fans for his cute, rounded, highly stylized character artwork. His designs have appeared on items like cups, mugs, pins, apparel, art prints, and popcorn buckets, to name a few.
