EPCOT guests riding Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind are now separated into groups after the pre-show in order to better control crowds heading to the loading station.
Cosmic Crowd Control

After guests watch the pre-show, they exit through three doors on the side of the room. They enter a large space before quickly turning down a much thinner hallway, which can lead to a bottleneck situation and “door busters” trying to get ahead of everyone else.

In an attempt to better facilitate this transition, Disney has set up stanchions directly after the pre-show doors, so guests are separated into three lanes as they exit. Cast members hold these lanes for a few moments, rather than letting guests immediately head down the hallway to the loading area.

The cast members then release each lane one by one — starting with the group furthest from the hallway.
We don’t know if this procedure will remain permanent.
