In an operational change effective July 1, 2026, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure will no longer be part of Universal Orlando Resort’s Express Pass.
Hagrid No Longer Offered for Universal’s Express Pass
Universal Orlando’s Express Pass, a separately-purchased offering added to a valid admission ticket, allows guests to experience shorter wait times by entering the Express queue. However, guests staying at Universal Orlando’s Premier hotels receive complimentary Unlimited Express Unlimited Passes for everyone in the room. Some annual passholders are also able to receive Express Pass access after 4:00 p.m.
Most of Universal’s rides are included in the Express Pass, including popular rides like Jurassic World VelociCoaster and Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge.
However, Universal Orlando’s landing page for the Express Pass removed Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure from the list of rides that are offered. Effective July 1, Hagrid will no longer be offered as part of the Express Pass.
The change has been reflected on the landing page for the Hagrid ride as well.
In comparison, the page for Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey continues to list Express Pass in the details section about the ride.
It’s also important to note that in recent months, Universal Orlando Resort has launched Universal Express Now, a new version of their Express Pass granting line-skip access for a single attraction during a specific timeframe. It’s possible Universal removed Hagrid’s from Universal Express in order to add it to Universal Express Now.
