REVIEW: Zurg, Churro and More Frozen Drinks Now Available at Auntie Gravity’s

Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies at Magic Kingdom has introduced four unique shakes to its menu. The Zurg Overload Shake, Space Ranger Float, Churro Shake, and Cherry Limeade Float can now be found at this Tomorrowland stop for sweet treats.

Zurg Overload Shake – $9.29

Vanilla Shake with Cherry Coating, Marshmallow Whipped Cream, Sprinkles, and a Chocolate Piece

Zurg Overload Shake

This is a lot of food coloring. The cherry coating is very cool and shatters and breaks as you hold the cup. This action helps mix the vanilla ice cream with the Cherry coating, but it tasted more like strawberry milk when mixed than cherry. The purple cream and black sprinkles scream villain. The chocolate coin was fine, but nothing to write home about.

This was made with kids in mind. It’s not overly flavorful, but it looks wild and fun. We’d rather go for Dole Whip, but this is a fine option if you’re looking for an elevated vanilla shake. It was a solid shake, but we would not get it twice.

Food dye and strawberry milk haters should avoid.

Space Ranger Float – $7.49

Dole Whip Lime with Vanilla Soft-serve Swirl, Sprite, Green Apple Pearls, Sprinkles, and a Chocolate Piece

Space Ranger Float

The lime Dole Whip recipe pairs perfectly with the vanilla soft serve. The sprite is a good, solid base for the float that lets the lime shine. The lime is not as powerful in this since it’s a swirl. The apple pearls are a fun surprise burst of apple flavor, although synthetic. The chocolate coin and sprinkles are cute, too. This is a very solid and refreshing option. We are partial to the Dole Whip, and it’s delicious. The swirl is a good compromise. I think anyone could enjoy this drink if they like lime flavors.

If you dislike either lime or artificial flavorings, this is not for you.

Churro Shake – $9.29

Vanilla Shake topped with Whipped Cream, Salted Caramel Sauce, and Churro Pieces

Churro Shake

If you like churros and caramel, sign up for two. It’s a solid and refreshing option. The deal is you MUST MIX THE SHAKE. Disney is putting all the caramel sauce or syrup at the bottom, and it smacked us in the mouth with sweetness. Once you mix it with the vanilla ice cream, it’s a lot better and actually pretty tasty. We wish Disney would have mixed the syrup for us. Don’t bother eating the churro bits, they are as hard as a rock.

It’s good, but it’s not a Disneyland churro. It’s refreshing, but it’s dairy. It’s sweet but not too much.

If you don’t like caramel, this is not for you.

Cherry Limeade Float – $6.79

DOLE Whip Lime with Sprite, Grenadine, and a Cherry

Cherry Limeade Float

This is an elevated Shirley Temple, which makes sense with the sprite, grenadine, and cherry. What really tops this is the lime DOLE Whip. This is so refreshing, you could have this and walk around the park in 99-degree weather and still be happy.

It is delicious, we would totally order this again on a hot day if the line were short enough. If you like lime and you like Shirley temples, you will LOVE this new addition.

If you hate lime or cherry, this is not for you.
