Work progresses on the foundation of a future event space at Universal Epic Universe. Land clearing began in the area off Celestial Park last year. Universal then filed permits for the new building.
Epic Universe Event Space Construction
The event center will be located between Super Nintendo World and Other Worlds Mercantile, next to a backstage bus loop. There’s now a small pad of concrete near the bus loop. The large yellow square is a moisture barrier which will soon have concrete poured over it.
The fencing blocking the site has been extended into the bus loop. Near the center of the construction zone are several concrete elements and poles awaiting installation.
The two-story event space will be 53,886 square feet. Occupancy will range from 1,200 to 1,400 guests. The roof may feature LED lighting to match the rest of Celestial Park.
