Track installation of the Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster at Universal Orlando Resort is advancing with the addition of spike tower supports and track at the load-unload station.
Thanks to photos by photographer @bioreconstruct , we are able to see support pieces being installed on the upcoming Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster.
At left in the above photo, the construction of the soon-to-be 170 ft tall Spike element can be seen. This element will have cars rising up and then descending back into the rest of the ride.
Just to the right of the growing tower and under the large yellow crane is the piece of track spotted from the ground in our last report.

Work on the switch track has been done, and another segment of track has been installed outside of the station, in the upper right above.

Here is a close-up of the additional track hardware that has been installed on the switch track, which will be for trains arriving for unload/load at the station

The white concrete above is the switch track platform on the opposite side of the station. Inside the structural frame of the station is track on the loading platform. Cars will exit the station through the switch here and then into a launch.
The Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift roller coaster is replacing Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida. Since the attraction’s original announcement, construction for the coaster has continued at a steady pace with its opening scheduled for sometime in 2027.
The first iteration of Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will soon open at Universal Studios Hollywood. It consists of 4,100 feet of track, sound reduction technology, and 360-degree rotation to simulate the experience of drifting while rolling through various intense turns and rolls on the coaster track.
The Florida version of Hollywood Drift will not be identical to the California version.
