Checking into a Disney World hotel just got easier in the My Disney Experience App, with the check-in process now divided into distinct, manageable steps.
Disney World App Updates Online Check-In Experience

A new update to the My Disney Experience app makes the Walt Disney World Resort hotel check-in process more straightforward for hotel guests.
The My Disney Experience app, which Disney leverages for almost all aspects of a Walt Disney World vacation, already allows guests to manage tickets, book Lightning Lane selections, place mobile food orders, view plans, and complete resort hotel check-in.
The latest app update has given a noticeable facelift to the online check-in interface for Disney Resort hotel reservations.

Guests can begin the process by opening the “My Plans” section of the app and selecting “Check In Now!” under the “My Resort Hotel” heading. A similar option is also available from the “My Reservation” section.
Once guests reach the updated online check-in screen, the app now displays individual check-in tasks with a visible completion status. The tasks, structured to include the usual selection of guest information, are as follows:
- Guest Address
- Credit or Debit Card
- PINs
- Arrival Time
- Messaging Preferences
- Room Requests (Optional)
As each step is completed, the corresponding box turns green, giving guests a clearer view of what has already been finished and what still needs attention.
After all required sections are complete, guests can select “Complete Check-In” to finalize the process.

Previously, check-in progress could not be saved for later completion.
The update follows other recent additions to the Walt Disney World app, including the MyDisney Wallet feature, as Disney continues adjusting the digital tools guests use before and during their vacations.
