Pirates of the Caribbean fans may want to set their sights on the UK for this stage experience coming next year. For those who aren’t so keen on audience participation, we can only hope there will be rum.
Secret Cinema Joins Forces with Disney Theatrical Group

A new immersive experience inspired by Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise will debut in London in 2027.
Secret Cinema – a London-based entertainment company that specializes in immersive film and television events – will produce “Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Immersive Adventure,” opening in February 2027 at Secret Cinema’s new flagship venue at Greenwich Peninsula. The production is currently scheduled for a limited 10-week run.
As reported by Variety, the show will include large-scale themed environments, live performances, stunt work, music, and a live band. The immersive show will allow guests to engage with detailed settings inspired by the film and become part of the unfolding adventure rather than simply watching from a traditional theater seat.
Secret Cinema’s artistic director Merritt Baer described the project as a large-scale adventure featuring aerial stunts, sword fights, Tortuga, the Black Pearl, and familiar pirate characters. Baer also called it Secret Cinema’s most ambitious production to date, blending film, theater, and live spectacle.

The production is specifically based on the setting of the first film in the series, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. The 2003 film introduced movie audiences to Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, Captain Barbossa, and the cursed crew of the titular pirate ship, the Black Pearl.
Angelo Desimini, senior vice president of licensed partnerships and brand management for Disney Theatrical Group, added:
“At Disney Theatrical Group, we are exploring bold new ways to expand our storytelling beyond the proscenium and into immersive, shared experiences. ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ is a franchise powered by adventure, music, and iconic characters, making it a world that naturally invites audiences to step inside it. Secret Cinema’s extraordinary craftsmanship and narrative ambition make them an ideal collaborator. Together, we are reimagining how fans engage with this beloved property, not as spectators but as participants in a live experience that is communal, cinematic, and unmistakably Disney.”
Secret Cinema is known for adapting films and franchises into large-scale, participatory events, often asking guests to dress for the world of the story and interact with performers, sets, music, food, and hidden narrative details before or during a screening.
The company says it has staged more than 60 productions over more than 15 years, reaching more than 1 million guests. The group has previously worked with Disney-connected properties, including Star Wars, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and several former Fox titles now under Disney’s studio library.
Tickets for “Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Immersive Adventure” will go on sale on June 1, 2026.
