Work continues on the refurbishment of the giant “POP” sign outside Classic Hall at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, with visible progress since our last update in April.
Pop Century Sign Refurbishment Update
The sign, located behind the lobby building facing Hippy Dippy Pool, previously showed signs of sanding and paint removal. In this latest update, the orange letters still display patchwork areas where old paint has been stripped, with visible seams and filler lines running across the surface.
The white borders and blue trim around the letters remain partially scuffed with uneven sections still visible. The letters do not yet appear to have received a fresh coat of paint.

From the front, the “P-O-P” letters continue to show a mix of original color and sanded sections. The refurbishment appears to be focused on preparing the surface rather than repainting at this stage.
The back of the letters remain in a more finished state compared to the front, with the blue paint appearing intact and glossy.
Green construction barriers are still positioned around the base of the sign, though guests are able to walk nearby.
Below is what the sign usually looks like.
Construction is still ongoing, and no completion timeline has been officially announced.
