A Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Cast Member experienced a dream come true when Disney invited her to the world premiere of The Mandalorian and Grogu.
From Batuu to the Red Carpet

Jennifer Baillere currently works for Disneyland as an area manager for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, helping to bring the stories from Star Wars to life for guests every day.
“Working in Galaxy’s Edge has been, in the words of Hondo, ‘the opportunity of a lifetime,’” Baillere said in a release. “I get to live my Star Wars dream every day. I get to hear the music, see the fans, and share it with fellow cast members who have their own passion for it too.”

Her love for Star Wars, though, started much earlier as a child, with her parents showing the movies on repeat. She remembers feeling excited when she learned that more Star Wars films were in development, and knew at that time she had become a huge fan.

The Star Wars fandom continued to be interwoven throughout her life as the years passed. Baillere met her husband through a Star Wars fan group in 2007, and they have Star Wars-themed wedding rings. They even named their children Anakin and Amidala, passing on their love of Star Wars down to their kids.

The full-circle moment came when Disney recently surprised Baillere and her husband with the opportunity to attend the world premiere of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.
While there, Baillere explored immersive experiences inspired by the film while celebrating with the cast, filmmakers, and fans. She notes the surrealness of stepping onto the red carpet surrounded by droids and fellow fans, as well as being able to spot stars from the movie. She said that evening was something she and her husband will never forget.

Baillere’s career of storytelling, leadership, and creating unforgettable guest experiences are all values she says align perfectly with the enduring legacy of Star Wars. “The themes of good versus evil, the hero’s tale, and the idea that you can be no one and become someone, that’s what connects with people,” she said.
The Mandalorian and Grogu will be in theaters on May 22.
