The global box office will likely double that to $160 million.
North American pre-sales are currently $25 million, in line with Avatar: Fire and Ash, which earned $89.1 million in its first three days.
Critic reviews are mixed. The current Rotten Tomatoes score is 60% but it’s already risen from 58%. It will probably continue to change as reviews roll in. After the film’s release, the audience score will also be determined.
The lowest rated Star Wars film was also the last one released in theaters — The Rise of Skywalker (2019) has a 51% Tomatometer. The highest rated is the original, A New Hope (1977), with 94%.
The Mandalorian and Grogu will be in theaters on May 22.
