Universal Horror Unleashed Teases New Seasonal Experiences, Major IP House, Anime Horror and More Through 2027

A new timeline for Universal Horror Unleashed teases nearly two years of rotating horror offerings.

Universal Horror Unleashed 2026-2027 Roadmap

A new timeline shown during a Universal Horror Unleashed presentation at Monsterpalooza over the weekend appears to reveal a slate of seasonal programming and new experiences planned for the Las Vegas horror destination through 2027.

Info was shared across social media, including a post on X from user @thecalibae:

Universal Horror Unleashed opened in August 2025 at the AREA15 District in Las Vegas as Universal Destinations & Experiences’ first year-round horror attraction. Unlike Halloween Horror Nights at Universal’s theme parks, Horror Unleashed is a permanent, ticketed indoor horror experience set inside an abandoned production warehouse-style environment.

Universal describes the venue as featuring four haunted houses, four themed areas, live entertainment, themed food and cocktails, and character interactions throughout the space.

You can check out our comprehensive tour of the experience when it first opened last year.

At opening, the four haunted houses included Scarecrow: The Reaping, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Universal Monsters, and Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer. The surrounding areas included Kill Vault, Prop Graveyard, Dead Storage, and Jack’s Alley, with dining and beverage locations such as Rough Cuts, Premiere House, Boiler Bar, and Jack’s Alley Bar.

2026 Universal Horror Unleashed Timeline

According to the new timeline, 2026 begins with Feaster Grievings, running April 1 through April 26 nightly. Universal previously introduced Feaster Grievings as a spring seasonal event built around the fictional unfinished horror film of the same name. The experience casts guests as part of the production, with a rotten egg hunt, Feaster Bunny interactions, themed entertainment, and limited-time food and drinks.

The experience casts guests as part of the production, with a rotten egg hunt, Feaster Bunny interactions, themed entertainment, and limited-time food and drinks.

Next is Food Film Frights, listed for May 10 through May 31 at Premiere House. Premiere House is the Blumhouse-inspired tapas bar inside Universal Horror Unleashed, with themed cocktails, shareable bites, movie props, and horror décor. The timeline suggests this could be a food-and-film-focused overlay or limited-time dining experience rather than a full venue-wide event.

From June through August, the timeline lists a “Surprise Announcement” running nightly. No title is shown, but additional comments suggested the surprise would involve a “major IP,” and the placement suggests a summer seasonal offering taking over the venue in some capacity. Universal suggested there will be an announcement coming soon.

Also, from June through August, Jack’s is listed at Premiere House. Jack the Clown is one of the most recognizable original characters from Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights history and already has a major presence at Horror Unleashed through Jack’s Alley. The timeline’s separate “Jack’s” listing could point to a dining overlay, bar activation, or character-driven experience tied to Premiere House.

Food Film Frights returns in September, again listed at Premiere House.

From September through October, the timeline lists HamiKuma running nightly. HamiKuma is the popular horror bear character associated with Universal Studios Japan’s Halloween Horror Nights. The character has expanded beyond Japan through merchandise and fan interest, and this timeline suggests HamiKuma could be getting a larger seasonal presence at Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas.

The timeline then shows a “New Premiere House Experience” for October through November, again indicating a possible bar or dining location overlay.

Finally, Krampus & Kin is listed from November through January in the Flexspace. The holiday horror offering previously brought Krampus and other folklore-inspired creatures to Horror Unleashed as a seasonal activation rather than a traditional haunted house.

2027 Universal Horror Unleashed Timeline

The 2027 row begins with Food Film Frights in January at Premiere House, continuing the dining or bar-based programming theme from the previous year.

A “New Valentine’s Day Experience” is listed for February, running nightly. No other details are visible, but the placement suggests a horror twist on Valentine’s Day similar to how Feaster Grievings reimagines Easter and Krampus & Kin reimagines the winter holidays.

In March, the timeline lists a “New Jack’s Show.” Since Jack’s Alley already includes entertainment themed to Jack the Clown and Chance, this could indicate a replacement or refresh of the existing Jack-focused show.

From March through May, Feaster Grievings 2 is listed as a nightly experience. That title suggests Universal may be planning a sequel-style return for the Easter horror concept rather than simply repeating the original version.

A “New Anime Horror Experience” is listed for May, also running nightly. This is one of the most intriguing items on the timeline, especially with HamiKuma appearing in the 2026 lineup. The timeline does not name a specific anime franchise, so it is unclear whether this would be based on an existing IP or an original anime-inspired horror concept.

Food Film Frights returns in June at Premiere House.

From June through August, the timeline lists a “New Outdoor Experience” in the Flexspace. ComicBook previously reported that Universal Horror Unleashed creatives discussed using outdoor areas for additional scare zones or even a fifth house, making this listing notable.

In August, an “All-New Halloween Maze” is listed as a New House. This appears to be one of the biggest items on the roadmap, as it suggests Horror Unleashed may eventually rotate or add a haunted house rather than relying solely on the four opening mazes.

The 2027 timeline ends with Krampus & Kin returning from November through January in the Flexspace, indicating the holiday horror offering may become an annual seasonal staple.

A More Dynamic Future for Horror Unleashed

The biggest takeaway from the timeline is the explicit confirmation that Universal Horror Unleashed will be treated less like an unchanging walkthrough attraction in the long-term and more like a dynamic horror venue with rotating seasonal programming.

It’s important to note that everything shown here may not be set in stone until Universal shares more details, dates, and ticketing information for these various offerings.

Still, the roadmap gives fans a strong idea of how Horror Unleashed could evolve over the next two years, with seasonal overlays, dining activations, returning holiday events, character-driven shows, and at least one all-new haunted maze.
