Unlike the other Universal theme parks, Universal Kids Resort will not operate all year round. Instead, it will have a seasonal operating schedule.
Operating Schedule

The park won’t be closed for entire months at a time, however. Universal Kids Resort will instead have brief closures throughout November, December, and January.

According to the language on the Universal Kids Resort Hotel website, the closure dates are as follows:
- November 3-4, 10-11, 17-18, and 26
- December 25
- January 5-8, 11-15, 19-31
Further, it indicates that the dates are “subject to change and additional closures may be added at the sole discretion of Universal Kids Resort Theme Park.
Universal Kids Resort opens on July 1, 2026. The park is full of interactive areas and elements like “dreaming up imaginary worlds” with sidewalk chalk, water blasters, and bubble blowers.
There will be multiple sensory gardens designed to give children and families opportunities to “pause, reset, and connect.” These calming spaces invite guests to explore through touch, sound, and color in nature-inspired settings.
The names of the lands are:
- DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp
- DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar
- Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club
- Jurassic World Adventure Camp
- DreamWorks’ TrollsFest
- Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom
- Isle of Curiosity
