On Thursday, IMAX released a popcorn bucket inspired by a real IMAX film camera and the upcoming film The Odyssey. Unfortunately for many, the souvenir sold out within hours of its release.
IMAX Film Camera Popcorn Bucket

The limited edition $50 popcorn bucket was available to purchase online (no popcorn included) and will ship on July 3. It’s based on the IMAX 15/65mm Camera, which Christopher Nolan has called “the gold standard” and used to film The Dark Knight, Interstellar, and the upcoming Universal Pictures film The Odyssey. A viewfinder on the bucket lights up to reveal a scene from The Odyssey, which will be in theaters on July 17, in IMAX’s exclusive 1.43:1 Expanded Aspect Ratio.

The bucket was released online at 3 p.m. on June 4. Within three hours, it was sold out, according to a Reddit thread.
We don’t know if the IMAX camera collectible will be restocked or if it will be available in-person at theaters.
