Pixar’s Cars, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, is hitting the road and heading back to theaters for a re-release this fall.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Cars, which was released on this day in 2006, Pixar posted a celebratory video on Instagram. In the caption, they even announced that the beloved film will be coming back to theaters in September 2026.

The video celebrates the characters that fans have come to know and love, as well as the places that zoom across the screen throughout the franchise.

No further details have been released about the theatrical re-release at the time of writing.
