It looks like Disney is preparing for an exterior refurbishment of Stein Haus in the Germany Pavilion of EPCOT. Rolling planters, scrim, and scaffolding now block the shop’s main entrance.
Stein Haus Refurbishment

The planters sit just a few feet in front of the entrance doors, right under the balcony with the “Stein Haus” sign. Guests can still enter Stein Haus through adjacent storefronts like the Weinkeller facade.

Where the planters hit a flowerbed, there is a construction wall. Behind the wall is what appears to be scaffolding covered in scrim. There are four poles sticking up towards the balcony above.

More scrim-covered scaffolding poles are visible behind the planters closer to Weinkeller.
Disney hasn’t announced any changes for the Germany pavilion. We assume this is just for a regular refurbishment of the facade.
