Crews are preparing for the development of the new Disney Villains Land at Magic Kingdom, located next to the future Piston Peak National Park.
Disney Villains Land Construction

Aerial photographer bioreconstruct shared photos of the construction site from the sky.
Since the ground was leveled out a few months ago, crews have brought in more sand to prepare the construction site for vertical construction. There are pipes staged for installation — blue for incoming water, purple for outgoing and reclaimed water.

Some of the fresh sand corresponds to future building locations. According to permits, the land’s largest buildings will be at the very back of the park, behind The Haunted Mansion show building. Compare the above photo and project plan.

The large trees at the top of the construction site in the above photo were relocated from Rivers of America. They will likely be moved to Piston Peak National Park instead of staying in the Disney Villains Land.

There is construction work at the edge of the land’s site, behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, to create a new body of water that will connect to the park’s service canal. This canal previously connected to Rivers of America and was how the Liberty Belle and Tom Sawyer Island rafts were moved out of the park. The canal connects to Seven Seas Lagoon.
Disney Villains Land

Disney hasn’t revealed many details of the Villains land since announcing it back in 2024. It will include two major attractions, dining, and shopping. According to the backstory, a spell has summoned the villains to the land. Disney did release a list of villains inspiring the land, which includes Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove.
The concept art (above) seems mostly inspired by Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty including her dragon form on the left and her castle in the center.
