Heat Advisory in Effect For Walt Disney World and Orlando Area Today

Guests and residents in Orlando should be mindful of time spent outdoors today, June 29, as a heat advisory is in effect from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

While the actual temperature today will range from the mid to upper 90s, it is the feel-like temperature that raises alarms for this heat advisory. With the humidity, the temperatures will feel like 105-110 degrees, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The peak of temperatures today will be around 3 to 4 p.m., with very little relief into the evening hours.

The peak of temperatures today will be around 3 to 4 p.m., with very little relief into the evening hours.

In addition to the heat, there is a 60% chance of precipitation today, per the NWS. The likelihood becomes highest between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Areas under this NWS advisory include: Coastal Volusia, Inland Northern Brevard, Inland Volusia, Mainland Northern Brevard, Northern Brevard Barrier Islands,
Northern Lake, Orange, Seminole, and Southern Lake.

High temperatures for the rest of the week will be in the low 90s.
