As Walt Disney World gears up for a busy July 4th holiday week and weekend, we noticed new barriers installed around the security at Magic Kingdom.
Security Barriers

During our visit this morning, June 29, we saw rows of green crowd barriers directing guests coming from the buses into an orderly line towards security at Magic Kingdom. Guests who exit the buses on the rows closest to the park will be directed to the right while those coming from rows further away from the park will be directed to the left.

We also saw additional security Cast Members stationed around to help guide guests to the right area to make screening as smooth as possible.
Given that July 4 is one of the busiest holiday crowd times at Walt Disney World, these additional measures make sense. Plus, since it’s America’s 250th anniversary, they are likely anticipating even more crowds than usual.
