Hong Kong Disneyland is decorated with banners, a giant Luxo Jr. lamp, and a light-up Pixar ball for their first-ever Pixar Summer Fest. The celebration runs from June 12 to August 31, 2026.
Pixar Summer Fest Decorations

The walkway to the park entrance is lined with banners featuring Pixar characters and the Pixar Summer Fest logo.

Characters include the Incredibles, Little Green Aliens, Joy and Anger, WALL-E, Lightning McQueen and Mater, Edna Mode, Merida, Sulley, and Carl Fredricksen. Each banner also includes the famous yellow Pixar ball featuring a blue stripe and red star.

The Pixar Summer Fest logo consists of the Pixar wordmark; “Summer” with the Pixar ball and drops of water; “Fest” with letters inspired by Woody, Sulley, Jack-Jack, and Sadness; and Carl’s floating house.

In front of the park, the Mickey flowerbed now sits against a Pixar ball-inspired background of red and yellow flowers and a blue hedge border.

Inside the park, guests will encounter the giant Luxo Jr. lamp and Pixar ball. The lamp shines on the ball, both sitting in a flowerbed of colorful plants.

They are elevated and surrounded by screen walls. The ball is also a screen and the images shift to display different Pixar graphics.

Sometimes, the ball transforms into one of Merida’s bear brothers with the princess and archery targets on the walls below. Or you might see Miguel from Coco with papel picado on the walls.

Other characters that appear on the ball include Eve, Russell, Anger, and Rex.

At night, the lamp’s light is more clear and the screens stand out against the darkness.

The Main Street lampposts are decorated with red, yellow, and blue striped banners. At the top are round character faces, while a small Pixar ball element is at the bottom.

They are in pairs on either side of the street. So Mike Wazowski is on the left side of the street across from Sulley on the right, Jack-Jack is across from Edna Mode, and so on.

Other character pairs include Merida and one of her brothers, Nemo and Dory, Mater and Lightning McQueen, Sadness and Joy, and Woody and Buzz.

Eve and Jessie are also on banners that don’t have a match.

The Emporium is a display with another big Luxo Jr. leaning over other oversized toys: Lilypad from the new Toy Story 5, Buzz and a Little Green Alien, and Woody with his bandanna poncho. A couple of Pixar balls sit on toy blocks, which have the letters HKDL (Hong Kong Disneyland) facing forward.
