Pixar must have really been feline the new Gatto trailer because they showed it to several cats to get their impression of the upcoming film.
Cats React to Gatto

When shown the teaser trailer for the upcoming Gatto, some of the cats appeared perplexed by what they were seeing, while others were busy licking their paws or just being cats.
As the video goes on, the kitties are seen doing other activities like batting at some hanging lights or walking on the laptop.

Overall, it seemed like the cats, at the very least, were well represented by the antics shown in the trailer—even if those antics are a little more Godfather than Fancy Feast.

In Gatto, Nero finds himself forced to forge an unexpected friendship that may finally lead him to his purpose. Luca director Enrico Casarosa and producer Andrea Warren will bring Gatto back to Casarosa’s home country of Italy, where Luca also took place. The movie will use a distinct hand-painted animation style, which is a first for Pixar.
In “Gatto,” after years of maneuvering the canal-ridden, superstitious city of Venice, Italy, Nero begins to question whether he’s lived the right lives. Indebted to Rocco, the local feline mob boss, Nero finds himself in a quandary and is forced to forge a truly unexpected friendship that may finally lead him to his purpose—unless Venice gets the better of him first.
Gatto will be released in theaters on March 5, 2027. The film will also be previewed, along with Hexed, at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival later this month. Pictured above is the new movie poster.
