Disney has revealed a brand-new holiday adventure starring Mickey Mouse. Mickey’s Home Alone is set to premiere during the 2026 holiday season on Disney+, Disney Jr., and Disney Channel.
The announcement was shared on social media by Disney Jr. and Disney+, along with a first-look image showing Mickey and Pluto preparing for some holiday hijinks in a festively decorated home. The artwork features Mickey in a holiday sweater facing Pluto, who appears to be carrying a Christmas wreath, with a grand staircase and Christmas decorations in the background.
According to Disney, the new full-length special puts a Mickey Mouse twist on the classic “left behind at Christmas” storyline. Mickey is expecting a quiet holiday at home when Minnie surprises everyone with tickets to visit a famous Ice Palace. During the rush to leave, Mickey and Pluto accidentally end up staying behind while the rest of their friends head off on the trip.
Back at home, Mickey and Pluto must defend their Christmas dinner from a mischievous raccoon and weasel, while Minnie and the gang work to make it back in time for the holiday celebration.
The special will also feature original music created specifically for the story, including two new songs alongside a fresh arrangement of the Christmas classic “Jingle Bells.”
Disney also recently revealed that the popular educational YouTube series Gracie’s Corner would be joining both platforms, bringing even more kid-focused content to viewers this year.
