Construction continues to progress on the spike element of the Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift ride coming to Universal Studios Florida, as more curved track pieces are added.
Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift Construction Update

In photos shared today by @bioreconstruct, the spike element of the new Fast & Furious ride has received more track. The 170-foot-tall spike will be a dead-end, forcing the ride vehicles to stop and change direction. According to bioreconstruct, two more sections of track still need to be added to the spike.

More track sections were also added to this, closer to the ground, curve.

The light blue-gray track contrasts with the darker blue support poles.

Several photos provide a closer look at the full curve that is being built. Some of the blue support columns have circular signs on their ends; the arrow and “DOT” on the signs refer to the direction of travel.

Another view of the track shows the yellow crane working in the area. The surrounding walkway by the Hard Rock Cafe has construction walls decorated with photos.
In our last update, we could see the staging area for the track elements.
Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift replaces Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and is expected to open in 2027. One version of the coaster, however, will open soon at Universal Studios Hollywood.
