The district’s refreshed logo, announced earlier this year, has arrived at the district amidst ongoing construction in the west side area.
Updated Downtown Disney Signage

A new Downtown Disney sign has been revealed at Disneyland Resort, bringing the district’s updated retro branding into a prominent physical form.
The sign is installed on a clean white monument structure in front of the new Earl of Sandwich and Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby building on the west side of Downtown Disney. The new signage greets guests entering from the southern-most point of the district, located directly across from Pixar Place Hotel.
Behind the sign, the Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby signage is visible on the second level, with Earl of Sandwich signage below, both of which were also recently installed and unveiled as part of the ongoing reimagining around this area of the district. The surrounding planter space includes white geometric screen walls, desert landscaping, palm trees, and small cacti.

The refreshed logo features a large black, gothic-style “D” on a yellow square, followed by “DOWNTOWN” in black lettering above “ISNEY” in individual block panels with colorful borders. A purple panel sits behind the final letter, continuing the layered mid-century look.
A Subtle Rebrand for Downtown Disney

The new physical sign follows the updated Downtown Disney logo revealed earlier this year for the district’s 25th anniversary. Downtown Disney shared the refreshed branding in January, saying it honored the “past, present, and future” of the district.
The revised logo simplified the 2024 version while keeping the Disneyland-style gothic “D” and colorful letter-block design inspired by retro Disneyland signage.
The anniversary timing is fitting, as Downtown Disney, Disney California Adventure, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are all marking 25 years in 2026 following Disneyland Resort’s early-2001 expansion.

This sign also ties into the continuing west-side reimagining of Downtown Disney. Recent updates around The Carnaby and Earl of Sandwich have leaned into mid-century modern and Googie-inspired details, including angular lighting, white geometric panels, and bright accent colors. In May, signage and exterior details were installed on the building, and by mid-June, some construction walls had come down around The Carnaby facade.
Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby is planned as a 1960s London-inspired gastropub located above the new permanent Earl of Sandwich. The restaurant is expected to feature British fare, two outdoor terraces, and live music on select evenings, while Earl of Sandwich will return below with its familiar menu.
With the new Downtown Disney sign now revealed, the west end of the district has added a major finishing touch as this reimagined section continues to take shape.
