Scrim and Scaffolding Go Up Around Finnegan's in Universal Studios Florida

The major refurbishment of Finnegan’s Bar & Grill at Universal Studios Florida continues with scrim and scaffolding now wrapped around most of the building.

Finnegan’s Bar & Grill Refurbishment

The major refurbishment of Finnegan's Bar & Grill at Universal Studios Florida continues with scrim and scaffolding now wrapped around most of the building.

The scaffolding covers two walls of Finnegan’s, reaching all the way up to the roof. It’s covered in beige scrim and blocked by blue construction walls. The restaurant closed in early January and was completely gutted.

The scrim and scaffolding indicates the refurbishment will include the restaurant’s entire facade, not just the entrances and interior.

A Finnegan’s sign is still visible behind construction walls but most of the entrance has been torn away.

Ghiradelli Building Refurbishment

Meanwhile, the D. Ghirardelli & Co. building is also going through an exterior refurbishment. Unlike Finnegan's, the scrim wrapped around this building is themed with an image of the building, so it's a little less of an eyesore.

Finnegan’s may get themed scrim later on.
