'The Simpsons' Coming to Fortnite Creator Tools Later This Year

Disney and Epic Games have announced that The Simpsons will soon become part of Fortnite’s IP Partner Program, allowing creators to build their own experiences featuring characters and locations from the long-running animated series.

Springfield Heads to Fortnite

"The Simpsons" will join Fortnite's creator tools later this year, allowing developers to build custom Springfield-inspired experiences.

The new toolkit will give Fortnite creators access to official assets from The Simpsons, making it possible to develop custom games and experiences inspired by Springfield and its residents.

According to Disney and Epic Games, the tools are expected to become available later this year. The announcement was made during Unreal Fest Chicago 2026.

The Simpsons previously crossed over into Fortnite during a limited-time event in 2025 that transformed the battle royale experience with Springfield-themed content. Disney said the event attracted tens of millions of players and generated hundreds of millions of hours of gameplay.

The addition of The Simpsons is the latest expansion of Disney’s growing partnership with Epic Games. Earlier this year, Disney and Epic introduced official Star Wars creator tools for Fortnite developers, while other recent collaborations have included themed game experiences and character crossovers.

Disney’s relationship with Fortnite continues to expand beyond traditional in-game skins and events, giving creators new ways to build experiences using some of the company’s most recognizable franchises.
