Universal has announced a special preview period that will allow guests to visit the resort before its grand opening in July 2026, giving families an early opportunity to explore the park and experience its attractions, entertainment, dining, and character encounters.
Universal Kids Resort Preview Tickets – $49.99 plus tax
Universal Kids Resort is now offering a limited-time 1-day preview opportunity from June 24-29, 2026. During the preview period, guests can explore the resort before its official debut while Universal teams continue rehearsals and put the finishing touches on attractions and experiences.
Universal notes that some attractions, entertainment offerings, and experiences may not be available during the preview period as preparations continue ahead of opening day.
A First Look at Universal’s New Theme Park for Kids
Opening July 1 in Frisco, Texas, Universal Kids Resort is the company’s first theme park specifically designed for families with young children.
The park will feature seven themed lands inspired by popular franchises:
- DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp
- DreamWorks’ Puss in BootsDel Mar
- Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club
- Jurassic World Adventure Camp
- DreamWorks’ TrollsFest
- Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom
- Isle of Curiosity
In addition to rides and attractions, Universal Kids Resort will include character encounters, family entertainment, themed dining, shopping, interactive play areas, splash zones, and sensory-friendly spaces designed for younger guests.
