Yesterday, June 9, was the 20th anniversary of Cars, and Cars Land came alive with fans for an extra special “Sh-Boom” moment.
Anniversary “Sh-Boom”

For those unaware, the 1954 song “Sh-Boom” by The Chords is deeply entrenched in Cars Land. Every day at sunset, as the neon lights along Route 66 in Radiator Springs come on, the song plays, and guests sometimes have a little dance party to the music.
However, last night, for the 20th anniversary of the movie, both Mater and Lightning came out to join the celebration. When the song ended, excited guests chanted “20 years, 20 years!” and then sang “Happy Birthday” to the film.
