Pixar Pals Spectacular is a nighttime show that just debuted at Hong Kong Disneyland for Pixar Summer Fest. It features drones and giant character inflatables and runs from June 12 through August 31.
Pixar Pals Spectacular Nighttime Show

Pixar Pals Spectacular is the pinnacle nighttime experience of Pixar Summer Fest. The eight-minute show takes place just before the Momentous nighttime spectacular.
It transforms the night into a celebration of Pixar stories with drones across the sky and a shimmering fountains dance.

The show starts off with the Luxo Jr. lamp in drone and projection form and continues into a montage of characters, music, and famous Pixar movie quotes.

Songs we heard during the show include “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” (with Buzz and Woody drones and other character projections); “Wouldn’t Have Nothing If I Didn’t Have You”; and “Nobody Like U” from Seeing Red.

Projections featuring several Pixar films can be seen across the Castle of Magical Dreams down to Main Street, U.S.A.
Characters from Toy Story, The Incredibles, Cars, Inside Out, Finding Nemo, Up, WALL·E, and Monsters, Inc. are all part of the show. Even characters from Toy Story 5 are present! Guests will see the following characters in projection form:

- Nemo and Dory
- Mr. Incredible and Jack-Jack
- Joy and Sadness
- Mike and Sulley
- Woody, Jessie, and Buzz
- Meilin (in panda form)
About halfway through was the more intense/scary scene that started with a Monsters, Inc. 2319 scene with the numbers displayed above the castle in drone art. There was also a short scene with Lotso from Toy Story 3 during this sequence.

The show ends with another rendition of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” as character inflatables pop up over the facades. They feature lights that pulse in rhythm with the story.
We saw the following inflatables:
- Zurg
- Meilin
- Jack-Jack
The Pixar ball drone art appears above the castle as the show concludes.

The show is one of eight attractions included in Disney Premier Access. Guests will receive a one-time entry into a designated viewing area to enjoy the show. The two locations, pictured above, are on either side of the castle. On the right side, guests will stand along a small walking path, and on the left side, guests will stand closer to the Hub.
