A child jumped into an animal enclosure at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge on Thursday, June 25, per a video posted to Reddit.

A young child jumped over the rock wall outside Sanaa restaurant and into the Sunset Savanna animal enclosure. She was safely pulled back out of the enclosure without further incident.

The video on Reddit was posted by user MetaKate334, an eyewitness who wrote: “This happened Thursday, June [25th] while we were waiting for dinner at Sanaa. She had been sitting on the rock wall and jumped in. If she was injured, it seemed minor. A very dramatic few minutes!” As a note, the original comment was edited by the user to note that the date was incorrect. We have corrected it above.

Further down the thread, she reiterated the child’s entering the enclosure and said: “She did jump. Numerous people confirmed she was sitting on the rock ledge with people yelling for her to get down, and she chose to jump.”

While the child was uninjured, the Sunset Savanna is the largest of the four savannas on Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge property. It is home to giraffes, waterbuck, Ankole Cattle, gazelles, ostriches, impalas, and cranes.
