Connections Eatery at EPCOT is now using paper trays instead of its usual reusable ceramic dishes.

Connections Eatery Switches to Paper Food Boats

The plain white paper food boats are similar to the paper/cardboard dishes used at other quick-service restaurants throughout Walt Disney World. Food is still served on reusable full-size plastic trays for easy carrying.

After eating, the paper food boats can just be thrown out. But there are still bins for reusable dishes and bowls at the venue’s trash stations.

Above is what the ceramic plates and bowls looked like from our full review of Connections Eatery when it opened in 2022.

Cast Members do not know if there is a plan to bring back the reusable dishes.
