Construction walls have arrived at Magic Kingdom for the expansion of the park's ferryboat dock.

The walls are just past the park entrance, along the edge of Seven Seas Lagoon. Temporary fencing helps direct guests around the walls to the dock, which is still open.

Construction walls have arrived at Magic Kingdom for the expansion of the park's ferryboat dock.

Work doesn’t appear to have started behind the walls, but the dock will eventually extend to this area. Construction is already underway to the east on a floodplain compensation area. See our aerial picture below.

In addition to the expanded dock, the area in front of Magic Kingdom will also get an expanded queue.

Disney filed a permit for construction in February and it was approved by the state’s water management district in March. This follows the 2021 addition of second-level ramps for quicker unloading of the boats. The bigger dock will help support the addition of a fourth ferryboat, under construction backstage near Magic Kingdom.
