The American flags flying at Disney World are currently at half-staff this week to honor late Senator Lindsey Graham.

South Carolina Senator Graham died on Saturday, July 11. The half-mast order from President Donald J. Trump for American flags began yesterday, July 12, and ends on Saturday, July 18.

Per the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the president can order the flag to be at half-staff outside of the regulatory orders set for the process:

The president may order the flag to be flown at half-staff to mark the death of other
officials, former officials, or foreign dignitaries. In addition to these occasions, the
president may order half-staff display of the flag after other tragic events.
