We now have our very first look of the live-action Te Fiti. Moana releases in theaters in exactly one week, on July 10.

Te Fiti is the goddess of creation in the Moana films, made of mountains, trees, flowers, and waterfalls. Her magic is stolen by Maui and so she loses her ability to create life.

She transforms into Te Ka without her power, which everyone believes to be a dangerous volcanic creature. Moana brings her power back to her and realizes that Te Fiti and Te Ka are the same being.

Te Fiti’s character draws inspiration from Polynesian mythology and the cultural connection between people, nature, and the ocean.

The Hollywood Handle shared a first look of the live-action Te Fiti:

The live-action Moana comes out July 10. It is currently anticipated to have an $85 million opening weekend. Dwayne Johnson confirmed that they are already in talks for Moana 3 (animated).
