The “Portraits of Courage” exhibit featuring oil paintings by President George W. Bush has been removed from The American Adventure in EPCOT after a two-year run.
“Portraits of Courage” Closes at EPCOT

The exhibit opened in June 2024, with paintings of veterans adorning the walls of The American Adventure rotunda. Its presentation was extended multiple times, finally through this Fourth of July weekend. As of Monday, July 6, all the paintings have been removed, leaving blank spaces on the walls.

From 2021 to 2023, the space held “The Soul of Jazz” exhibit. When a special exhibit is not on display, Imagineering artwork hangs on the walls. The art will presumably return soon.

The American Heritage Gallery featuring “Creating Tradition: Innovation and Change in American Indian Art” is temporarily closed, with its display windows blocked because the portraits were moved into that space.

“Portraits of Courage” banners still hang outside The American Adventure but will likely be removed within a day or two.
