Marvel Studios President and Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige will be honored by the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation.

Feige will be presented with the Pioneer of the Year Award at the foundation’s Pioneer of the Year Dinner on September 30.

Feige has been the primary producer of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2007, leading the creative direction of the franchise.

Feige has been with Marvel Studios since before the MCU began, starting as an associate producer on X-Men (2000). He became President of Marvel Studios in 2008 following the success of Iron Man. He was named Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Entertainment, Marvel Comics, Marvel Television, and Marvel Animation in 2019.

“Kevin Feige is a dynamic producer and executive whose creativity and vision entertains and inspires moviegoers everywhere,” said Kyle Davies, President of Distribution at Bleecker Street Media and Co-Chairman of the Pioneers Assistance Fund Committee.

The Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation was established in 1939 and their Pioneer of the Year Award began in 1947. Past recipients include former Disney CEO Michael Eisner, former Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, former Walt Disney Studios chair and CCO Alan Horn, and former Walt Disney Studios chair Jeffrey Katzenberg.
